Wow that really brings back EGA memories! I hated having to dither like that by hand when I'd draw, but now it's not so bad :) The colors really jump out of dA's green backgrounds. Nice work!

Now, there's nothing wrong with this avatar at all -- it all comes down to personal taste to say which one is better, but I'm generally not a large fan of those said-colors. However, there's no denying that this one is "fly" as well. Almost takes me back to the good 'ol days. (Wait -- I don't think I'm quite old enough yet to even know what the "good 'ol" days actually are!)
